Papers exceeding this length will be subject to a mandatory over-length page charge. Full papers, even if paying an over-length page charge, cannot exceed 10 pages.

Short/demo papers report sufficiently interesting new theories and/or developments, results, simulations, experiments, interesting details in the area. Short papers are limited to 4 pages in the journal’s two column format, which will include all references and author biographies (which are optional). The supplementary material is excluded. Papers exceeding this length will be subject to a mandatory over-length page charge. Short papers, even if paying an over-length page charge, cannot exceed 6 pages.

Design ideas are papers of maximum 2 pages dedicated to publishing interesting ideas, approaches in designing hardware, software, systems or specific digital or analog circuits.

The reports should be technical articles (3 pages maximum) describing innovative procedures, methodology or system architecture for different purposes.

All papers are subject of strong review process, managed by associate editor or other responsible persons. The idea of the review process is to get the most competent review in the shortest possible time, for a maximum of 3 weeks.

All submissions should be accompanied by a covering letter or note indicating the type of the submission (letter, short paper, full paper or survey) and whether it is a candidate for a special issue.

Quality control and reviewing process

All submissions are subject of WiPiEC Quality Control System before publication.

  • All submissions are subject to double blind peer review as well as to plagiarism check.
  • The submitted articles can be valued in three terms by each of the individual reviewers (at least two independent reviewers should review each article):
    • Fit for publication without alteration (FIT)
    • Fir for publication under the condition of alteration (FIT-a)
    • Unfit for publication (UNFIT)
  • If the article is deemed to be unfit for publication by either one of the reviewers, it will not be published.
  • If the article is deemed to be fit for publication under the condition of alteration by either one of the reviewers, it will be published if the author(s) implement the alterations in due time.

Plagiarism checking by authors, before submission, is highly recommended. Regardless, plagiarism check of all submitted articles will always be conducted by the WiPiEC journal, by standard softwares like CopyLeaks® and Dupli Checker.

Proof-Reading-Editing is highly recommended before submission and can be done by professional journal article editing and proofreading services, depending on the possibilities of the author. WiPiEC journal does not provide such a service.
